Pakistan is often in the news, be it local media or the international media because of the political changes made. The former governing party of the state Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PMLN) keeps on getting highlighted from time to time. Whether its something related to the former disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif or his family, eventually makes it to the news.

Recently, Azaz Syed tweeted on his official twitter handle:

To this matter, Firdous Ashiq Awan who is now serving as ‘Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting’ indicated the media that Shehbaz Sharif who was leading Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PMLN) went to London last month and may not return to Pakistan. It is further said that he is receiving medical treatment there. The party has now nominated Rana Tanveer as ‘Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairman’ replacing Shehbaz and Khawaja Asif as the parliamentary party leader.

Firdous Ashiq Awan further stated: “Shehbaz Sharif would not even appoint anyone as a guard outside his family. The family (Sharif’s) divide positions among themselves. The day they will appoint someone outside the family for those positions, that would be considered as the first step towards an NRO and the changes made in the party (PMLN) in his absence is a clear proof that he’s not returning to Pakistan.”

She further added: “We knew Shehbaz was making a fool out of the public. He should have provided information about his illness to the public. He knew Shehbaz he will not come back.”

To this statement, Khawaja Asif, the expected parliamentary party leader, said: “Shehbaz will return to Pakistan and will attend the budget session in the National Assembly.”

PMLN and the faces related to the party have become more prominent after several big names of the party were charged on different cases. Several journalists and political names have also shared their opinions on the matter.
