Dear Karachi University, Please Save Us From Being Patients Before We Become Doctors!

This post is also available in: العربية (Arabic) اردو (Urdu)

Dear Karachi University! I truly respect you as an honorable institution offering a number of courses and quality education to millions of students. I wish you all the best in future endeavors.

I just want to remind you that we, the students of the least important course (as treated by you) i.e MBBS & BDS, affiliated with you (UNFORTUNATELY), are human too! Believe me, Medical is a tough course. It stresses the hell out of us. We get chills, nightmares, sleepless nights, panic and anxiety attack every other hour during our exam days. And your UNSURITY exam days is the cherry on the top. We lose our motivations. We really need a strong push to keep us going on this journey. This exam dates mess is really not working this way.

We would welcome the exams in January, we’d welcome the exams in June too only if you tell us the exact month of the exam in the middle of academic year AT LEAST. This ‘Maybe Jan. No, Maybe Feb, Be prepared for March. Might be in April. Maybe next week’ is a pure TORTURE. Trust me, this MBBS takes all of our powers and energies. This exam date drama is a pure MENTAL TRAUMA. This is a serious risk to our mental health.

We demand exam month to be announced in the start of the year (Like every other educational institution, and just like you do for other departments) and exam schedule to be announced at least 15 days before exams.

Kindly save us from being patients before doctors!
