Usama, a young soul passed away after meeting a tragic road accident in Lalamusa yesterday. He was the son of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) President Qamar Zaman Kaira
Usama Qamar Kaira merely in his teens and very intelligent was a student at Government College of Lahore. He was driving a white corolla and overspeeding that made him lose his grip on the car which crashed into a tree. One can only imagine the high impact of collision considering the speed and it is heartbreaking.
Senior PPP leader Qamar Zaman was in the middle of a press conference when he received the unfortunate news. The video below shows his reaction of disbelief and shock when he comes to know about his son’s accident. He immediately called off the conference and left for the hospital where his son had passed away.

You can see how engrossed they were in a question and answer session when they are interrupted by the news. Qamar Zaman is shocked and speechless for a few moments later calling off the conference. Including the party members seen in the footage around him offering support, several politicians sent their condolences as well – Prime Minister Imran Khan, Asif Ali Zardari, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto, and President Arif Alvi were just a few.

President Dr. Arif Alvi expressed his grief over his friend’s irreplaceable loss.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif also expressed her heartfelt condolences saying how unpredictable life is.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also issued a party statement expressing deep grief and sorrow. He expressed his shock and added that PPP leaders and workers share the heavy deeply felt pain of the Kaira family and friends.
The sudden passing of Usama leaves everyone an example to practice safe driving. Although speed is thrilling, but at the cost of your precious lives, it is just self-sabotage. We hope and pray that Allah provides the family with strength and patience in this hard time. Amen.
