An Open Letter to CM Sindh: Save These Villages From Flooding

This post is also available in: العربية (Arabic) اردو (Urdu)

The village Pahar Khan Jamali was badly affected by the flood and monsoon during 2010, and that water has now taken a shape of a big lake and covered 100 of acres of agriculture and residential area. The villagers took the issue to Supreme court, Ref: Constitution Petition No. 30/2012.

Supreme court took the notice and ordered the government officials to resolve the issue in order to save the lives of people living in over 15 villages located nearby. The goal was to avoid the menace of the flood, saline water and water logging of Rohari Canal but unfortunately nothing has changed. The water is still inside our homes.

I saw the news that PNDP has issued the floods warnings this year after heavy rainfall. I request Sindh Govt. and Secretary Irrigation to please take notice and resolve this issue as soon as possible.
