Audrey Truschke is an assistant professor of history at Rutgers University-Newark. She is the author of Aurangzeb: The Life and Legacy of India’s Most Controversial King (2017). She’s well known for her work and has written plenty that’s worth a read.
Recently, Audrey took to Twitter and expressed her views on the current situation in India.

Pakistan is a country which is often portrayed in the media as a war-torn hellhole and tourism in Pakistan is almost non-existent. Every year, only a very small number of adventure backpackers and die-hard climbers travel to Pakistan.
It’s great to see how foreign journalists are supporting our country and encouraging others to visit Pakistan.
Pakistan is full of beautiful and historical places. However, the tragedy is that people are more interested in going abroad and talking about the beauty they see there, rather than highlighting the grandeur of our own country.
Pakistan is full of breathtaking locations which will make you fall in love with this country all over again. If you are a tourist or love traveling then you must compile a list of places you plan to visit next year.
From Naltar Valley to Hunza to Skardu and from Gojal Valley to Rama Meadow to Swat – Pakistan is flooded with stunning places that you can visit.
Several foreigners have now begun to travel Pakistan and the recent one was Drew Brinsky and Mark Weins. Moreover, Alex and Sebastiaan quit their jobs, sold off all their belongings and went off on a tour around the roads less traveled of Asia such as Iran, Kazakhstan, and their personal favorite, Pakistan.
Furthermore, Cynthia Ritchie, who hails from the US, found a lot of similarities between Pakistan and her home country in her travels and she loved it here!
Also, Henrik Jeppesen has been to every country in the world, literally. Here’s what he’s got to say about Pakistan. “The media gives you a bad impression of Pakistan. It is all negative, but I really enjoyed my visit.”
