The release of the Quacquarelli Symonds rankings, commonly known as QS Rankings is prestigious when it comes to illuminating the standard of education offered by universities in different parts of the world. In this year’s QS Asia University rankings, a number of Pakistani universities have not only made it to the list, but have also improved their rankings – those which were already there previously.
In the list of 500 institutes from Asia, 23 Pakistani universities have made their way. In 2018, there were only 16 prominent local universities which were seen in the rankings. Isn’t this a proud moment now?
The National University of Singapore (NUS) was on top of the list. With a number of famous universities in between, National University of Science and Technology (NUST) ranks at 87th position. Previously, NUST was on 112. On the other hand, Lahore University of Management Science (LUMS) is on 95th position, whereas previously it was on 103th.
The universities which have made their way to the rankings for the first time are, University of Management and Technology (UMT) Lahore, University of Central Punjab (UCP) Lahore, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), University of Sindh, University of Sargodha, International Islamic University (IIU) Islamabad and Bahria University Islamabad.
Now you know which Pakistani university is internationally acknowledged and acclaimed. Congratulations to all the universities on this proud moment and achievement!
