South African comedian Trevor Noah, host of The Daily Show, during an episode, attempted to find humor in the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan and was heavily trolled on Twitter by few while others loved his take on the ongoing issue. Trevor Noah previously talked about how PM Imran Khan is just another version of Donald Trump and made a mockery out of him.
During the show’s regular round-up of headlines from around the world, Noah mentioned the tense situation between India and Pakistan following the Pulwama terror attack and the subsequent escalation of hostilities between the two countries. Then he decided to make light of the matter by saying that if India and Pakistan went to war, «it would be the most entertaining war ever.» Do you agree?
Commenting on how Indians like to shake a leg on every occasion, the comedian likened the Indian soldiers’ war cry to Bollywood songs. Few people on Twitter stated that this was inappropriate and despicable while others thoroughly enjoyed it!
Here’s the video.
This is how some people have responded to his take on Pak-Indo relations…
Here’s what the journalist Omer Quraishi had to say about the latest video

Replying to the above tweet, one user thought that this was unacceptable.
There's nothing funny about this! He is making fun of ALL OF US! Not just Bollywood, it's us Desi people collectively! He does not get to mock us when there's a threat of war. Disappointed in you.

This user called the Indian Army a ‘Bollywood Army’

However, one of the Indian users thought otherwise
I am a huge fan of yours. I just want to let you know that the situation between India and Pakistan isn't funny at all. As an Indian, it really hurt me to see that specific episode. Many lives are in danger. Please don't make fun of it.

Another Indian user really penned his thoughts down and called Trevor Noah premature.
#trevornoah uneducated premature comedian, sometime lack of creativity Mind lead you towards utter stupidity , here is the example by @Trevornoah
Any #Art Form should be practice as a healing therapy not to hurt !
specially when you talking about

One more Indian user wrote that Trevor Noah was insensitive to current affairs.
@Trevornoah well if you can only be sensitive to issues that directly affect you .. then that’s hardly being sensitive #trevornoah .. if you really think War would be entertaining you a have sick mind!! @TheDailyShow

Without getting jingoist, let’s admit the Bollywood bit was funny-ish. So was him referring to dance numbers, which would make it «the longest war ever.» But calling a war between two historically embittered nations «the most entertaining ever»? Is that funny?
At war, whether you’re a Pakistani or an Indian, lives are at stake. Everyone has their own opinion. Some thought he was savage and others stated that Noah was racist and obnoxious. Let us know what you all think about his take on Pak-Indo relations after the Pulwama incident!
