They say globalization is a phenomenon that nobody can hide from. In time, it will take over the whole world, leaving no difference between the East and the West. Even though there are mostly advantages, but different cultures don’t always succumb to the openness of all that it has to offer.

A concept derived from the West, something in Karachi happened that has become the talk of the town on social media, and people cannot stop themselves from saying: «Oh my God!» – Yes, we’re talking about the infamous ‘dirty couple swapping night’ advertisement that had gone viral on social media a few days back.

Apparently, the mastermind of the event, a man named Arsalan Qamar was involved in organizing the party. The man would charge Rs. 25,000 per couple as an entry fee to a night of unorthodox dreams, where couples from Karachi (and all of Pakistan), could meet up for well, you know what. The idea of switching partners for a single night, in our country, is nothing short of ‘Astaghfirullah!’ – but different people have different fantasies.

However, due to the fact that the ad went viral on social media and was taken up by a lot of social media influencers, the Karachi police of Boat Basin police station wasted no time in nabbing the organizer of the event.

«Boat Basin police have arrested a suspect, Arslan Qamar, who runs a ‘dirty night’ (couple swapping) campaign through social media,» said SP Suhai Aziz, the Clifton Superintendent. The police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the suspect under Section 420/25-D of Telegraph Act, while efforts were underway to arrest Qamar’s aids and abettors.

The ordeal was exposed when a comedian named Shehzad Ghias actually prank-called the organizer and created a false story of his, where he said that he and two of his wives were ready to be a part of the event and wanted to book their place in advance.

The arrest is a part of the ‘Rescuing Youth, Saving Future’ campaign by Karachi police. The bust revealed that Qamar was never going to organize a ‘dirty couple swapping night’ but the ordeal was nothing but a SCAM! Couples would pay Rs 25,000 for an event that never existed. After taking couples’ money, Qamar would delete the Facebook event and change his numbers.

This way, couples would not even be able to go to the police, in a bid to hide their shame for getting involved in something so taboo. They would never be able to tell why exactly they paid Rs. 25,000 to a stranger, who was going to give them a pass to an underground orgy.
