If we look at the Indian military forces from Bollywood’s point of view, it could automatically be believed that they are the most qualified force in this entire world. Sharing the same perspective, the respect and honor given to Indian Army in Bollywood differ from reality.

On October 6, 2017, an Indian Army MI-17 Military helicopter crashed on the Chinese border near Dokhlam, killing all 7 people who were inside. This was always going to be a sad news for the people of India who at least want to take pride in their forces.

However, the pain soon turned into anger when images of the dead bodies surfaced on social and electronic media. The Indian Army had decorated their dead officers in cardboard boxes. Yes, you read that correctly. They sent the dead bodies back to the country wrapped in cardboard boxes that are used to package electronic appliances.

This is not the first time that the Indian forces have honored their soldiers and troops in such a manner. Previously, a video surfaced of a soldier who filmed himself in Kashmir, showcasing the condition they were living in. Eating prison food in extreme cold with nobody to support them and listen to their problems.

With such a reality, it is a shame that India even tries to compare its military forces with Pakistan. The standard, which includes performances, strategy, administration, and management, all in all, is a thousand times better than what India will ever be able to manage.

It is also a shame that Indian soldiers who spend their whole lives away from their families get treated like pieces of wood. However, if we continue looking at things from Bollywood’s perspective, the cardboard boxes definitely came to good use.
