While the whole word gets ready for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia next month, footballers who did not get selected for the World Cup will either be supporting their teams from Russia, or from their home countries. With news about football always incoming, a story that has been doing rounds on social media for the past few days, has finally been dubbed as fake.
We’re talking about hundreds of publications going with the story ‘Brazil legend set to marry two girlfriends together’ and pictures attached with it. People had been talking about how the Brazilian, even after retirement, could not ‘stop scoring’ and that he deserved nothing short of two girlfriends who would soon become his wives. The bigamy marriage was set to take place in Rio De Janeiro, in August this year.
However, finally, the Brazilian legend has been forced to come out in the open and address the situation that has been created around him by the media. «The whole world is calling me, I’m not going to get married. It’s the biggest lie,» the former Barcelona legend told Brazil’s SporTV in response to the viral story against him.
Initially, a Brazilian newspaper had published the story about Ronaldinho marrying both his girlfriends. It became very important for Ronaldinho to establish the truth because in Brazil, bigamy is illegal and can the people involved can be punished up to 6 years in jail. It had been further reported that the wedding would simply be a ceremony with two women and won’t be registered as two marriages.
Priscilla Coelho and Beatriz Souza, the names of Ronaldinho’s girlfriends, have gone viral along with the news of the marriage and Ronaldinho isn’t happy about either of the outcomes. Even if, Ronaldinho had the plans to carry the marriages out in secrecy, the publishing of the news surely has cancelled all odds of it.
