«Go Nawaz Go» – Is It a Slogan or a Resolve?

Pakistan is a country which soon after its creation started to face a turmoil and dilemma known as a democratic crisis. Since then Pakistan is continuously suffering from political instability. Unfortunately, it’s few big names only who take their turn one by one to play with the sentiments and fate of our people.

Under this condition, Imran Khan appeared as a silver lining in the dark cloud by chanting the slogan of “Go Nawaz Go” provoking the desperate public to follow him blindly towards a NEW PAKISTAN by changing the decades’ old system of corruption and breaking the shackles of feudal and family inherited political system.

But the question that arises is, is he really «The One» who can bring the change? Is «Go Nawaz Go» really a solution or just another political slogan to take on the throne of Parliament? As a common citizen of this country, I fail to understand how can he bring the promised change when he is part of the system whose roots are watered by the rain of nepotism and corruption.

We need to realize that change travels from bottom to top and not top to bottom. We have to reject this system, not as an individual as it is useless to change the driver controlling the steer when the engine is malfunctioning and tires are punctured. I urge the noble and educated citizens of this country to wake up and think before you leap.

Decide what you want? Change in the system or change the prime minister? A simple example for the civilized people is, how can we change the system when we can’t convince ourselves to obey a red traffic signal just because we are in a hurry and no one is watching us? Please think before you reach a conclusion.
